Precise Consulting and Laboratory has been approved to deliver the only globally recognised and accredited asbestos courses through The Occupational Hygiene Training Association (OHTA). Training programs are an important step in communicating and raising awareness of risk management issues and company policies. The following courses are lined up to be delivered to the New Zealand market, and with asbestos becoming a sensitive issue, the timing is right:
W504 – Asbestos and Other Fibres. The W504 courses gives extensive understanding of asbestos and other fibres harmful to humans including health implications, properties, the uses of these in the building industry, how to safely conduct asbestos surveys, asbestos sampling and principles of asbestos air sampling. The course also elaborates on good construction and use of enclosures and decontamination units. WP402 Building Surveys and Bulk Sampling for Asbestos. As well as this management of in-situ asbestos materials, conducting risk assessments on-site, how to conduct safe bulk sampling and personal decontamination practices. Participants in this course will be specifically well suited for the current asbestos works currently being undertaken, as well as the potential requirement for asbestos surveying of commercial properties in New Zealand.
